I had this problem with my kids white school shirts and my mum said to wipe some nail polish remover on it to take most the stain out and then wash it as normal

I'm not familiar w/the brand of pen you mention...if it's a standard ballpoint pen that ink can be removed with hairspray. Spray w/ hairspray until ink begins to run, then wash in cold water with your usual laundry detergent. It's always worked like a charm for me. It has to be aerosol spray, not the pump kind (the latter sometimes works, but not as well)

If it's more like a marker or sharpie, I think you may be out of luck. There are various brands in stores that say they remove marker, but in my experience they only fade the marks rather than completely remove them.

White spirit is supposed to help remove biro stains, as is meths.
I'd go with the hairspray option first though, then try the white spirit or meths if that doesn't work.

I had an ink stain thanks to my three year old, I removed it by turning the top inside out and making a paste out of washing powder, and gently rubbing the stain from the inside of the top.

If it doesnt come totally out, chuck it in the washing machine, and see how it is. Have another go with washing powder if its not totally out. It took me 3 rubbing/washing sessions, but I did get the stain out.
