Ok...So on Friday night I installed a linksys N router...no problems with the installation, works on a laptop with built in wireless adapter fine....so then yesterday I installed a Linksys Wireless-N PCI adapter...WMP300N..right off the bat I had problems...trying to get into the Control Panel on the computer I am met with an error saying "An error occured with Windows was working with Control Panel file C:\WINDOWS\system32\netsetup.cpl....but that doesnt seem to be a problem unless I try to go into the network connections...
Also, although the PCI card is correctly installed, the signal goes in and out...and is very low. The antenna has to be put in a certain location in order for the computer to aquire a network address.. Granted this desktop is a floor up and about 130 feet away...but isnt the Wireless N network supposed to be able to handle that easily?
Is there something I need to do on the router to increase the range? Does it have something to do with the channels? Help please

I would try a different channel first. Second I would try to find things on the same approximate frequency. 2.4 gHx phones are the most likely source of this problem.

Typcially the routers I have used will provide good connection speeds up to 50 feet indoors and 300 feet out doors. I would expect that at 130 feet indoors you would get around 5mbps.
