Try thinking about clapping your hands before you go to sleep and see if you actually clap in your dream.

Its a dream you cant control them. All a dream is, is your brain replaying the day, and mixing that up with what could potentially happen. The only way you can possible control them is change what you do during the day.

You can not control your dreams but one can influence them. Your sub conscience is in control. One needs to be relaxed when you go to bed. No bad or scary movies, don't dwell on anything that is bothering you such as bills, money bf or gf just have a nice thoughts of the day as you tuck yourself into bed. Try a nice hot shower or bath and a good book or nice music. Sweet dreams!!!

I think you should not try to control your dreams. When you are asleep, you should rest, not work! Besides, there is no way to control dreams. It's how tensions, desires and fears are released from your mind.
Sweet dreams ;-)

my suggestion goes like this:
actually u get the dreams of what u think more before sleep.
If you want to control your dreams, listen to soothing songs, dont read books as they may influence ur mind and that sort of dreams may come, or if u have a habit of reading books when u go to sleep read holy books, either do meditation, it can control ur dreams and u can have a sound sleep.

Or have a glass of lukewarm milk before going to bed with cool mind.

Dreams are in your subconcious and only occur when your in REM sleep. The subconcious is the level in your brain that you cannot control, things like reflexes, breathing and blinking are not things that you need to remember to do but are done for you, sort of like how dreams work.

Actually you can. There is a technique called lucid dreaming. If you master it you can pretty much live a 'normal' life in your dreams.
