Words and Wordplay, hmmm?
RESPECT is worth 11 points in Scrabble, while MONEY is worth only 10. RESPECT is also a seven letter word, which gives you the 50 point bonus.
I guess it would have to be RESPECT.

I suppose the politically correct answer would be respect. But the reality is that you can always earn respect by doing certain things right. Money is always harder to come by. Of course it depends on how much money.
Assuming it's a good deal of money, I would choose money and then do something worthwhile with it, so I can be respected.

I have earned enough respect in my lifetime to satisfy most any man, and at the end of the day, I'm just "a day older and deeper in debt".
In my opinion there is little, perceived, difference between fear and respect from the eyes of the person who is feared or respected. Additionally, I believe that while you may not be able to buy respect, fear is most certainly for sale.
So based on the above, give me the $$$ MONEY $$$.

I noticed that those who earn more (for doing what they love and being successful in the process: writing a bestseller or because of promotion/high position/landing a good career) seem to earn respect from their peers. And those who are filthy rich also seem to earn respect because they have the "power" to command so.
I only have little in my wallet. There are times when I don't get the respect I think I deserve. Like what the others said, being rich doesn't mean you're dirty. It's how you use your money, and eventually ... earn that well-deserved respect in the process.
MONEY ;-)

If I didn't have to do anything illegal or unethical to get it, I would still choose money--if it were A LOT! There's just so much I could do for people--family, people in my community, etc.--I would just deal with the lack of respect.

i would pick to have respect, then all the people who respect you, will understand your standing point or what situation you are stuck in, then they will help you have a promotion or something so then you can have money too. MONEY & RESPECT!!!!!!

I like that people respect me for who I am. Money comes with hard work and serious commitment to responsibilities. Those who have little often are those who are not willing to work for every penny they can earn.

I'd say respect otherwise I'd be a stripper or something...of course in my case that probably wouldn't get me money or respect.
