If anyone saw Requiem for a Dream, Saw or Schindlers List in the cinemas, what was the audiences reaction?

Them three films gave me the strongest feelings a film has ever given me, and I was just wondering how a room full of people watching it would react.

Silence ...a bit of a buzz at List,but quiet,like the soft crying of the Italian women at the end of "Life Is Beautiful"..very sad. I must say though at the end of "Pulp Fiction" I was surprised that the audience stood up and applauded.I liked the film itself but I had not seen this reaction before....Weird.

I saw "Dead Man Walking" in the theatre, and there was one part in particular where the whole audience gasped all at the same time - and then at the end, when the credits were rolling and the lights came on, no one moved - most people start marching out of the theatre during the credits - NO ONE MOVED! It was creepy yet amazing at the same time.

I love Requiem for a Dream. It's my favorite movie. I agree with you. I bought Schindlers List and haven't gotten around to watching it yet though. I think Life is Beautiful is a really good movie and very moving.

i saw requiem in the theatres and there was complete silence but i think because the premise was so heavy,i also saw Schindler's list and there wasn't a dry eye in the place i don't remember at what point exactly everyone gasped in horror because it was too long ago but it happened a few times
