I never get cramps on my front side, but i do get terrible cramps in my lower back, and I almost want to puke they hurt so bad sometimes. I also get them a few times when i'm not on my period, but I always get them when I start. ibuprofen seems to work, but what exactly are these cramps? does anyone else have them?

I also get terrible back cramps during my period. Don't be alarmed, different people have different type of reactions during the period. The times you may also feel back cramping is when you are ovulating. It is not unusual to feel pain during these times. Advil usually helps me a lot.

I suffer from terrible stomach and back pain when i get my period and also on the week before. What I do is warm a small amount of olive oil and just rub my stomach. Then I try to relax a little, just lie down and rest.
I got this remedy from a home-remedies website - maybe there is something else there that can help you .

Drink lots of water and try to make some exercises.. I know it hurts, but if you move around, the pain will subside a bit. I have this problem every month too... It gets so bad, that when I sneeze, I have to hold my back because it feels like it is going to explode on me.

i used to have them.It could be do to you diet look at what you eat during a months time.excessive salt.sugar,and oil will have you doubled over in pain.do you excercise.do you drink water and teas you need to stay hydrated.also keep your aspirin or midol around. take as many as you need to kill that pain. hope you feel better .take time to think about your self.what makes you tick.
