Ya know, this question has perplexed me my whole life. I dont get it. Dont men want to be clean and live in a clean environment? Why would they ignore it? - sometimes its just plain gross.
I hold the oppinion that not EVERY man wont clean unless they hear nagging...but most.
The only ones I think you can disqualify from that are Most homosexuals and Most metrosexuals. Those men seem to like to be and live clean. Regular run of the mill heterosexual guys, for the most part, you're just gonna have to nag em.
Or, you could do stuff like...
Go on strike
or withhold affections....
or make a deal - like - they clean the house twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays and you wont have a problem with the bi-weekly poker games...or something to that effect...sometimes that trick can work pretty darn well!

No, not all men have to be nagged to do any cleaning, my hubby got up this morning and put the clothes in the washing machine, washed up last night coffee cups, tidied round the lounge then came and got me up after my extra lie in, hes really caring and good at any job round the house, I have never once had to nag him into doing anything, we decided jointly before we got married that we would always work as a team and after 22 years of marriage we still make an excellent team together.

thats dead wrong.i love my wife and even after a hard days work i will help her around the house because i help make the mess.if she slaved over a hot stove to cook me a nice dinner i will tell her to rest while i do the dishes.if you man dont help you till you nag its either he dont really love or appreciate you,or he thinks he has you trained or hes just a lazy bastard.yes once in a while if i worked a 14 hour day i might not cut the grass that day,but will do it the next day.we are not all the same just as all woman are not all nagging, bitches.its in how much you love eachother and what you are willing to do to stay happy and stay together.have a great one.

Not every man needs to be nagged before he will clean. I know many men who are very clean and neat people. They are not the types that have to be asked to clean. They do it on their own.

I can practically guarantee you that anything of great importance that needs cleaning (the space shuttle, the inside of John Force's $100,000 top fuel engines, the security camera lenses in the Pentagon) are all cleaned by men.

Stupid women who ask stupid questions would never be allowed such responsibilities.

No it's not true, not all the men are the same. I wash, cook, clean, do the ironing look after my daughter, and look after my wife as a full time carer, and work full time.
This does mean I no longer have a life, but I signed up in sickness and in health. So I live with it, but I do know there are some very lazy men around, but please don't tar us all with the same brush.

No it's not true. If both partners work full time its also right and proper to sahre the hme tasks, however if he works full time, she part time, home chores should be shared for equal leisure time. A full tome at home partner should run the home, letting the earner relax.
A lotof men will help, if it is a fair division of labour.

Same reason you do not see women up ladders clearing the guttering out, we are conditioned by our parents and society into these rolls.

Just look at most of the adverts for cleaning products: women, and DIY products/jobs: Men.

Such is life.

I do the cleaning in our house - dishes, dusting, picking up the kids toys, cleaning the guarden, the lot. My missus does other jobs - it's a division of labour thing. I didn't get married to get a substitue mother to do everything for me.
