English, Maths and science are subects which we all need a firm grounding in. Whereas its not necessary to have history knowledge, it is necessary to have an understanding of numbers and their usage for the future. Imagine a child leaving school not being able to multiply 5 by 7?!! I dont employers would be impressed with that. It is a basic and fundamental subject rather than an personal or optional one.

Without Math as a part of schooling, no one could shop without a calculator in hand. We use math in almost every aspect of our lives. Like measuring for a recipe or to calculate our bills for the month. It is an essential part of everyday life.

maths is a subject which, like music ,has no language. its a universal faculty in every sense of the word.its there in everything we do right from the grocery store to setting alarms. it improves general aptitude and is very frequently the gauge for mental power. and its the strongest pillar supporting science including all its major branches like physics and chemistry and biology.it holds its sway on the subatomic particle as much as on a supernova.

Maths cannot be an optional subject in school because maths is needed in our day 2 day life.A person may feel too hard or he may cant suceed in his life without a basic touch in maths. It goes hand in hand in our life.so i think maths should be an optional subject.

1. It is an integral part of our lives... we use it daily from balancing checkbooks to paying bills and making change.
2. It is an integral part of a well-rounded education... you certainly would be at a disadvantage without Math if you were considered for employment.
3. Many careers require mathematics (finance, banking, retail, actuaries, and insurance). You limit your choice of careers if you limit your education.
