AIDS and HIV are the same sorta thing, just to a different degree. HIV develops into AIDS. The gay community is more aware of the risk but the disease didn't start between two men (or women) at all. Not all gay men are HIV+ or have AIDS. The only reason the gay community is so pro-active about HIV and AIDS is because it affects gay people as much as it affects straight people. When people in your community start dropping dead, it tends to get a little attention. The key to preventing this is safe sex. Yeah, condoms, dental dams et cetera... As a community, we need to protect ourselves in every way. From sexually transmitted disease to hate and everything in between!
As for the pain factor, since I'm a gay female I can't say I have a wealth of knowledge on it but didn't it hurt for you to have sex for the first time? Think about it, a man's g-spot is inside his a**... why wouldn't he get some pleasure after the initial discomfort? The other reason a man might enjoy it is if he is being intimate with someone he loves. Sex with someone you don't have any emotional connection with is just sex, pure physical need/lust. Sex with someone you do love goes beyond that. There's some food for thought. Oh and by the way, a gay man might ask why you enjoy sex too considering that everyone has an equal chance of getting HIV or AIDS if they are having unprotected sex. Ok, lesbians have a slightly smaller chance but the chances of a gay male contracting HIV and you contracting HIV are equal.

Ashley you must be 10 years old mentally. You can get hiv or aids by having oral sex dummy. Its not all about having anal sex. You can get hiv or aids from giving someone a hand job. Do you seriously think thats the only way to contract hiv and/or aids? This really a stupid question like why do lesbians like to eat? why do straight girls like to suck long johnsons? get where I'm coming from? You make no sense at all!

First of all, it is not 100% they are going to get aids. Studies show more African American Heterosexual men have aids then the gay community. Gay people have sex the way straight people do, so does it hurt when you take it in the butt, or the first time vaginally? Its the same thing. So dont assume that jsut because you are gay, you are going to get aids, its not the case. Dont be stupid and stereotypical the way that most people are, you gotta be better than that.

Not all gay guys do like it up the butt. Also, the sad thing is the 'straight' boys who put it up gay guys' butts are the ones who go home and infect their girlfriends/wives. And sadly, straight sex is a great transmitter of the disease, and that's why the straight population now has more AIDS than the gay population ever did. Whatever you do, and with whom you do it, always wear a condom, and get educated. Ignorance spreads HIV.

Not all gay guys like it up the butt and those folk that do (not just gays) enjoy the sensation, not least because it is the only way to access the prostate gland (you'll have to try it being massaged before you could possibly understand)
Not all gays have HIV/AIDS and, unfortunately for you, a lot more straight people do.
So when you are old enough and responsible enough to have sex, remember to practise it safely (use a condom).

Anal sex is not just a gay thing many straights and married coupes engage in the practice. Using safe sex condoms will reduce the spread of aids. The gay community was one that came forward with protection by using condoms.
If Reagan has stepped forward in 1980's and did something to deal with HIV/AIDS maybe today we could see and end to AIDS.
Also anal sex is not the only way to get AIDS.

my dear, we can all die at every moment.
everyone can get aids, africa has a small gay community yet the higher rates in the world
AIDS and HIV are not the same thing. having HIV doenst mean u get AIDS, there are retro-virals which can prevent the further development of the virus from turning into AIDS.
then, about the butt thing.
If you are a girl, let me ask you, didnt it hurt you the 1st time?
and for people who keep insulting, it feels good to know most of us are more successful than you in virtually everything.Even with girls, which is supposed to be your field of primitive pride.

Another ignorant person with an ignorant question. You need to get educated and stop trying to educate yourself. The only thing that is probably stopping you from taking it up the but is that you believe such nonsense. I here to tell you it's ok go on and try it and when you do let us know if it hurts. Everyone can get HIV/AIDS if they do not take the necesary precautions you idiot.

They chances of your getting HIV /AIDS is much greater having sex with a woman unprotected than gays have in sex....be careful, learn your facts. This is NOT a gay disease, it is a disease that has ruined Africa, the Caribbean Islands, the South East Asia area...and it is a disease that is irradicating the straights in these areas.. Don't for one minute think that you cannot get it. 97% of ALL prostitutes are positive for HIV! They did not get it from Gay men.

Since when does homosexuality mean that they will get AIDS and HIV?
Did you know that women are more at risk than men? You probably didn't know that, but now you know. Oh and AIDS was originally spread through man-to-woman contact, not man-to-man. Oh, and just because you're gay doesn't mean you're an AIDS victim. You have just as much a risk factor as any homosexual. If your boyfriend cheated on you and then slept with you, you would be just as much at risk as "GASP* a homosexual!
Before you start a rant as to how bad homosexuality is, do your research.
You're a typical closed-minded American afraid of what you don't understand. Are you homosexual? Then move on. You aren't going to convince anyone to NOT be homosexual. It doesn't work like that. You aren't going to change anyone just because you don't get it and it scares you.
You aren't God. Don't judget people for Him.
