Much like in real life, in order to be a battery, you'd have to be both positive and negative. Just try not to dwell on the negative.

i would have positive on one end and negative on the other, like all the other batteries, because if i only was positive/negative, i wouldn't work...

In order to be a battery you need both terminals otherwise,you`re useless.
