I would say Barry Bonds, however it appears you have directed this towards the NFL, so I would say Terrel Owens.

Its Barry Bonds and Terrell Owens hands down. There is noboody even close that is as hated as these two player wise. Sports in general, you could throw Rosenhaus and Steinbrenner on the list Im sure.

Right now I'd have to say Barry Bonds. A cheater who won't quit until either A. he breaks the record B. his career ends . A world class slime ball who is without a doubt a great baseball player and without the steroids would be still considered a great player.

Bonds and A-Rod in baseball; Terrell Owens in football; Alan Iverson in basketball. They are each so loathesome it would be hard to pick a favorite. Among retired ballplayers a special mention would have to go to OJ Simpson and Jose Canseco.
