It depends on how much you're given?

My parents have given me a credit card.

Endless.

Except in this one store, I spent like $3,000 and they company got worried and like put a hold because they thought someone had stolen it.

But you should try like Neiman Marcus, or Bloomingdales is more trendy.

Barney's CoOp?

it definitely depends on your style, but i am in love with h&m. forever 21 is good too, though you have to be careful with the quality of their clothes.

as for trends...
skinny jeans are going to be a big craze, along with leggings and oversized sweaters. basically, it's the eighties again!!

gold is also going to be pretty big - gold shoes, clothes, accessories, you name it. just don't go overboard - try a cute gold clutch with jeans or a bold, sequined gold shirt paired with neutrals. gold makes a loud statement, so be sure you don't overwhelm.

a big thing for school shopping is to make sure you pick versatile pieces - getting a bunch of trendy things may make you look great for the first few weeks or so, but once you wear all your clothes, you'll feel bored. try getting some basics - a white button down shirt, a tailored blazer, some dark-wash jeans - and then pair them with some more trendy items (such as accessories). that way you'll be able to come up with new outfits every day without ever returning to the mall!

one thing is for sure: don't buy an expensive item if it's just a trend or if you'll grow out of it quickly. if you're going to splurge on something, make sure it's something you'll be able to wear for a very long time without it looking dated.

good luck and happy shopping!

Try looking at Aeropostale, Hollister, and Old Navy. They all have pretty reasonable prices and cute styles. Always check at the sale racks too! Try cute jean skirts, jeans, and layered tanks. Also, a lot of stuff is made longer and tighter. Short vests are in, along with polos. Good Luck!!!!

im not sure what you mean by "affordable" prices, but anything from A&F, AE, HCO is good. You can go into the store and look at the outfits they put on the mannequins and just buy the outfit. Simple. Wear flip-flops too, they go very well with many outfits.

you should get big beaded necklaces, silver colored or silver earrings, hoop earrings are always in, bangles that cling together, or huge wooden or plastic bangels with some designs on them avaliable at forever 21 or claires, faux diamond studs, plently of jeans (capris, shorts, long jeans, boot cuts) be sure to have plenty of jeans to match with t-shirts. logo tees from aeropostale, abercrombie, american eagle, or anything like that. new shoes (nikes are best) plain black flats that go with everything (only $13-15 at target) for jeans, get plain jeans, ripped ones, and ones with sequins on the butt. you forgot to tell me your budget because i can go on and on lol. the cheapest jeans are at mervyn`s. if you want to get the best ripped jeans, go to hollister. abercrombie jeans are a bit of a splurge and they do not fit everyone perfectly. lets say you are asian, latina, or african american.. there is no way you can fit nicely into abercrombie jeans.. you have to have a small butt to fit into those. if you have more of a rounder butt like me, try babyphat jeans. they might be a splurge to some people but they look great AND they shoe off your curves for more of a curvy look also, try apple bottom jeans by nelly! also, american eagle jeans are good and comfortable. be sure to get fleece jackets ($40-70 at abercrombie) abercrombie sells the best fleece and for huge jackets like for outerwear, try bebesport. if you get miniskirts, dont go too "mini" it will make you seem like you are trying too hard. same thing for all other clothing, make sure everything isnt too big or too small. if something from a store just doesnt fit you or make you look flattering, well check out other stores! hope this helped.

American Eagle is great, so is Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters.

I know about the affordable prices thing, I have to pay for all of my own clothes. It sucks.

Try going to Ross ot TJMax. They have the EXACT same cothes as AE, Aero, Hollister but they are sooooooooo much cheaper!!! Yesterday, I went and found this ADORABLE shirt that you would find at Buckle for $60 I found it for $5.49. It was sooo cool.

Like most girls you are concerned with "fashion" over functionality. The crap I see in the newspapers fasion pages, I wouldn't wear to a diahrrea party. Mis-matched stuff that don't even fit, showing off underwear and garment tags right and left. Frankly I'm sick of it. I am a man who likes a girl to look like a girl. I don't need to see your bare chest and bottom cleavage to be able to pick you out as female. Dress school-appropriate functional. good Luck
