Would any older 540s come with the same option? I just love that feature!

Some do its a seperate option. Here are the major options available in 2000 and not a retrofit as listed above, it is a FACTORY OPTION.

It was an option, and can be retrofitted, but I do not think it was offerred until 2002 or 2003. Not a 100% sure on that.
