Please could people tell me their experiences of getting pregnant on the pill whilst taking the pill correctly and not missing one:-
1. Anyone got pregnant on microgynon 30
2. How did you know or think you were pregnant - how soon were you having symptoms
3. Did you still miss you're period even though obviously it is a fake one being on the pill
4. How long after possible conception did you take a test

I got pregnant while taking the pill (ortho tri cyclen) I didn't miss any pills, took them the same time every day, and wasn't taking any antibiotics or St John's Wart. I did not really miss a period: I had a very light one though. I attributed this to stress because I've had light, short periods when I've gotten stressed and even skipped some months before. But I thought there was no way on earth I could be pregnant and then noticed that my breasts were getting bigger and that I was the moodiest person, was feeling nauseated, and got buzzed off drinking a single glass of wine! So I took 2 test s(stupid of me, I know, at WORK! of all places) freaked out, somehow made it home without running into anything, set up a therapy appointment and completely went berserk for about a day. I found out a day before my boyfriend's birthday. We had just moved in together and I totally didn't want to tell him because this was supposed to be our summer to have fun together, get to know each other better and just bask in that. I was devasted. But somehow I managed to tell him and he's thankfully, been very supportive. I am due December 27th and now that I'm done feeling sick 24/7 am kind of fascinated that my body has changed so drastically in a matter of months. It's weird though, to feel the baby move, and she does, at like 3 in the morning...sometimes I feel strange because, though I've never met this little person, I love her very much.

My friend fell pregnant whilst taking the pill (she is now 28 weeks gone!) and didn't realise until she was 16 weeks. She actually was convinced that she had cancer and had all sorts of tests done at hospital (no pregnancy test, though!). She was devastated, thne concerned that there would be something wrong with the baby, but is now delighted (especially as it is a boy - she already has 3 girls!). I'm not sure which pill she was taking.

I didnt miss one pill. But, I was not told to use another form of birth control for a month after starting the pill, so that is how i ended up pregnant. I knew I was pregnant because when I got to the sugar pill part of the meds. I did not start my period as I was suppossed to so I went to the dr. after I didnt start it again when I was suppossed to and they took a test and told me I was pregnant... i did, i realised i was pregnant after i missed my second 'period' i just didnt bleed atall, got a test a was bright blue, went to docs and was 8 weeks gone. It does happen but i blame myself rather than the pill, i didnt use condoms aswell and the pill isnt 100% effective, have a beautiful boy to show for it though so no regrets.x

If you EVER think you are pregnant, do a pregnancy test. You wouldn't want to take a chance and do something that might damage the fetus. There is a really big reason why pregnant women can't drink or take prescription drugs. And if you are into recreational drugs, forget it!

I got pregnant whilst on microgynon and so did my mum with me! Same pill. My friend did also! Not a very effective pill that one.
I found out whilst having a routine check up, I was still having the "fake" periods so I was pretty shocked!

i got pregnant when i was taking the pill. the doctor had lowered my dosage and about three months later, i was pregnant with my son.
but that was almost 21 years ago and they have gotten better through the years.
if it makes you feel any better, i also got pregnant after i had my tubes tied. that was a real shocker. i had a miscarriage, but getting pregnant can happen even after having your tubes tied.

we conceived twins while i was on the pill! in all fairness we had just moved house and probably werent paying much attention to condoms etc but all the same what are the chance eh? i knew somethin wasnt quite right a few days b4 my 'period' was due and took a test, 12 wk scan revealed twins.
