The music on the CD's is copyrighted to the various artisits.
CD's will be burned and screen printed commercially by professionals and paid for with private funds.
The CD's will be given to volenteers and donors of an animal rescue organization as thank you gifts.
The CD's WILL NOT be used to aquire donations.
Does it matter if I the individual complete this task verses the organisation itself doing it?

ok, lets start.
first of all, call the local district attorneys office and check with them.
if the answer is positive in your favor, get a letter from them which states that.
also, call the local police department, do the same thing. get a letter from them also.
find out the phone number for the association fo music producers, and do the same thing. get a letter from them.
also state it is for gifts.
...all of these letters, will protect you....
if any of them state it is ilegal, donot do it.
the main thing is that you have to ask.
also, under your responsability.

There should not be a situation promoting songs that you've already offered. do exactly not promote copies. in case you probably did, you would ought to get permission from the particular record agency earlier doing so.

This would be illegal! The artists want to make money from thier material, they don't want it freely distributed. Same as P2P, once you make a legal purchase and then upload (same as copying) and share (same as give away) - that's where you come against legal.

That's not legal. You would have to obtain permision from each of the recording artists to copy and distribute their music.

The copyright laws in most countries say that you cannot reproduce their media in any shape or form without permission.

if you paid for the original, I dont see why you cant give copys away.
