A tiger cat named Tabby that I don't remember, but she used to sleep in my crib and under it. She would swat at strangers that came over for a look. A German Shepherd named Candy is the first pet that I do remember. She had two litters of puppies, in the second she had 12 and we kept one. Candy hated black people or anyone who wore a hat, even my Dad. Eventually she had to be put on a chain, we lived in the country w/no fences. After breaking a few of these she became a night watchdog in a sporting goods store in my hometown. They had a huge plate glass window across the front of the store and we would stop and see/talk to her from time to time. She had to be put down several years later because some college kids going to a football game at the stadium nearby stopped to torment her and she charged the window so hard she cracked it trying to get to them. But she was a great first dog and Tiki, one of her puppies, lived until I was grown and gone from home.

My grannie had a poodle who came into the family at the same time I did. We took to each other from the get go.
She used to come stay at my place and was always with me. We went on walks and played together. She would stand on my chest and lick my face till I was rolling with laughter
I consider her to be my first animal companion.
I cried for days when she passed away. I had never known a time in all my 12 years that she wasn't there.

A fish called Horris the Horrible as he used to eat flies if they flew over the tank, oh and he had a real likeing of dog meat.
He was 13 years old when he died, so had a good life as my pet.

When I lived with my parents we had cats since I was born. My own personal pet was a dwarf rabbit.
When I moved out I had a cat.

my first pet was a bw cat who was called muchie when i was 3 years old then for a firend when i was 4 i brought home a cat i found and with my mums helped we cleaned it up called gizmo i now have loads of animals and i love them all

A hamster called Vinnie named after Vincent van gough awwww bless. I got him when I was 6 or 7, he lived for 4 years (amazing for a hamster). He died around bonfire night (5th November) and I loved him alot. RIP VINNIE

A long haired black and white kitten I found when I was 5. I named him George.
The first family pet we had was a black and white border collie named Sissy.
