The key to placing all the gems is remembering where you started. It doesn't matter where you start, but just remember that the next gem MUST end up in that position.
For instance, if you start by placing the first gem at the very top and slide it to the bottom right, be sure to pick the next place you start with the gem will end up in that very top position (which would mean placing the next gem at the bottom left and sliding it to the very top), and keep going from there. So each time REMEMBER where you placed the gem, and make sure the NEXT time the gem ENDS UP there. I hope that helps!

You need to place the gems in the same order as if you were hand drawing a star. Start at any point, then continue on the pattern like you are drawing it. Once you have completed the star, you will win.
