Seattle is filled with cultural experiences. Pike Street, the Needle, sooooo many theaters and galleries. A tour around the 7 Hills affords one a chance to see how residents live. Ivars seafood, right at the pier, off from the ferries, is a great, casual experience.

Anything North of Seattle will afford one more striking scenery than South, until you get close to Oregon. Just West, by ferry is Bainbridge Island, or Whidbey, or the San Juans, farther West the entire Olympic peninsula.

From anywhere in Seatlle Mt. Rainier is overwhelming, and you can likely see both the Cascades, and the Olympics, from any decent vantage point.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

The weather is moderate all year. When I lived there (4 yrs) there were two snow storms, both gone within 3 days. It doesn't rain as much as here in Central FL in my opinion, but it is gray, often.

I suggest it's worth a visit.

I grew up in Kitsap county and as a teenager I used to take the ferry to Seattle a lot and go to Pike Place Market or SubPop and some of the other shops between the waterfront and 3rd street with my best friends. I also went to quite a few concerts at the Seattle Center like Bumbershoot and such.

We'd always pick up copies of The Stranger and The Rocket when we were there too.

All my favorite scenic drives are on the west side, in Kitsap County and on the Olympic Peninsula; take 101 around, it's really beautiful!

I don't know about "christian" but there's a beautiful park on the top of capital hill that's nice to bike in. I once rode from that park, it's called "Volunteer Park" then glide down into downtown, BIG hills make sure yer brakes work. Then you can follow the water south and across the bridge into west Seattle where you can ride along the bike path that hugs Satellite beach. The sunset is beautiful lookingfrom the beach or from atop the tower on Capital Hill or even in the park right below Pike Place Market downtown.
There's a bar on Capital Hill on Pine and I think around 13th called the Satellite which is a great happy hour and good munchies. They have an art gallery and some really nice people.

The Fremont farmers market is every Saturday though mid October, the Zoo is always nice, tourist or not, any of the local festivals, Seafair, Hempfest, Summer Solstice/Fremont Festival, Bite of Seattle, Bumbershoot etc. The Ballard Locks is great thing to check out and the surrounding park it beautiful, Alki Beach in West Seattle has tons of great little restaurants and great views of the water and the city. Really I could go on and on....

If you go to www.seattlecenter.com and click on events, you can see what's going on around there, such as plays, ballet, sports, festivals, concerts, and so on. For example, this weekend will be the Tibet Fest and on Labor Day weekend, there will be a big music festival called Bumbershoot. Tourists usually hang around the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the waterfront. The Puyallup Fair will be going on in September, which isn't so far from Seattle (maybe 40ish minutes).

These sites include the best places to see, eat, etc. in Seattle.

go to perchno, i=ts at the bottom of queen Anne hill by the Seattle center, the sea center is also a great place to hang out.
Breakfast, wow, eat somewhere, ...
Dinner Spaghetti Factory is good, and a bunch of places on the pier area are good as well,
a scenic drive would be going out to ocean shores or something like that on the peninsula, there's a spot called hurricane ridge, the drive up is insane, that's one hell of a scenic drive and one nice view. Definetly go ther.
Good traveling to you

Have breakfast at Maggy Bluffs on Elliott Bay Marina. It is on the Marina side of the Palisades Restaurant. Take the exit off the middle of the Magnolia Bridge and turn toward the water.

It is a local thing but also very fun.
Take a ferry ride, they go to a number of areas around Seattle, long or short trips. Can even get snacks on board, or take your own lunch.
Ferries for most part are large, a number of decks to pick a place.
Best part cost is cheap.
