I'm a Scot and am really pale-skinned. Can this really be a 'good look'?

Yes it can. But I don't get why you don't believe me when I say it.

Yes it sure is. Naturally pale women can change their look at whim. There is something very mysterious and supernatural about pale skin. You can go goth (vampire/seductress) or ethereal (a la Lord of the Rings). Play around with bridal nails in sheer colors or vampy nail polish shades. You can even change your hair color and wear different color contact lenses and it won't clash with say.. olive toned or yellow toned skin. The possibilities are endless. Beaches are overrated and will age you due to sun exposure so you should avoid it anyway.

In my opinion, pale skin is so, so beautiful, especially if you have some red colouring in your hair, not too much though, just a hint of the right shade of red. Keep it as natural as possible.

Go to the bahamas and get a tan as soon as possible. Pale skin suits some people but for others it makes them look unhealthy

Yes. I'm from Scotland too but my mum's Filipino so I have a natural tan but a lot of my friends are pale but they suit it a lot more than they suit a tan. I think pale skin can be be pretty and natural looking. Anyway, pale always beats orange. I believe you are your skin tone/hair colour because its what suits you best.

Of course it can, people who are tanning themselves regularly are just trying to fit in with the rest of the sun worshippers out there, they will end up looking a lot older than they really are and no doubt have a bit of plastic surgery to 'improve' that.
If it bothers you then get some tan in a bottle, it's much easier to apply these days and cheaper than a holiday to the med!

Depends on where you are. If you're in South Beach, Florida where everyone is dark tanned, you'd probably stand out. Everyone has differenet preferences though and you might find that one guy or girl who's looking for a light skinned mate.

conan o'brien, well he's irish, and a guy, but i suppose skinwise it's the same, has had to wear a dermatologist specially formulated SPF-100 (!!!) sun block. he said it'd shield him from nuclear radiation LOL. so lookwise it could be (do u have freckless? like lindsay lohan it's sexy). it'd depend on your hairstyle/color also. both complexion and hairstyle/color should enhance each other. prolly not really curly hair on pale complexion. however, get a professional medical opinion as far as sun exposure, darling.

. . . it's your most natural look, unfortunately you'd feel really out of place down here in London, England - (PS just realized, my mum is Scottish too, so I'm half-Scottish - had better quit the brandy and vodka and stick with the pure stuff and get rid of that cockney accent) . . .
