Yeast infections do not usually have an odor. Bacterial vaginosis has a very strong fishy odor. BV is not an STD and usually can not be passed back and forth. Trichomosis (spelling??) However is a STD and also has a strong fishy odor. Either way, you'll need an antibiotic to get rid of it. Call your local health dept. They give free std test.

If you have a bad vaginal odor you need to go to the doctor. "Fishy " odors can mean a bacterial infection called Gardenella, or you could have an STD. Yeast infections normally do not cause strong odors. Don't douche, douching can be harmful if you do have an infection.
Good luck!!!!!!

If you are sexually active I would say go right away.

You may have a common bacterial infection or yeast infection that can be easily treated.

Could be a yeast infection. I don't get them but I know a lot of women do from antibiotics, a lot of intercourse, wet bathing suits, etc.
