I know how you feel! My husband has done two Tours of Iraq. I miss him dreadfully. I miss him bouncing through the door, grabbing a glass of wine and telling me what has happened that day. I miss him telling me that I look beautiful. I miss dancing with him. I miss him ringing me up at work to tell me something interesting or funny has happened. I miss the sound of his voice, the smell of his skin, the way he looks at me.....
Send him a Dictaphone & some tapes and get one yourself. We record what has happened that day each evening and then post them once a week. There is that lovely moment when a tape drops on the mat and you know you are going to be able to spend an hour listening to him. I record me bustling around the kitchen, chatting away just like he was there. It may sound mad but you can re-play the tapes at the times you miss him most. It really does help.
Good luck and I hope that he will be home soon.

i would miss the companionship the most once your used to having somebody around that you can wholeheartedly confide in about any little part of your of you day its hard not to have it hugs when your feeling blue it always seems there is nothing better than a hug from your spouse the brighten your day to cuddle up late at night and just be together there is nothing better to Chance the days cares away
i guess what I'm trying to say is how can you pick just one thing to miss the most when there are so many things about them that attracted you to them in the first place and its the whole package that makes you love them for the person they are
my wife works 54 hrs a week (not the same i know) but when shes not here i feel like a part of me is missing too and i suspect that's how you feel too
on a side note i have to give you and all the other spouses of our men and women over there allot of credit it is your strength that adds to their resolve to fight and get the job done so that they can all come home to the ones that love them the most
stay strong and your love will too

i would have to say.... everything. I would die. I dont know how the wives of service men do it.
My husband is my best friend. Without him i would be utterly alone. He knows me better than anyone, and i dont have a single friend who's closer, or ever been closer to me than him.
I'd miss talking with him, laughing with him, going places with him. Just seeing that he's been in the house, knowing i get to greet him at the door any minute.... I'd miss those things terribly.
Plus I'd miss all the sex ;)

Well First of all are you seeing anyone besides your husband? PLEASE, DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN ALL OF THE SAME OLD CHEATING MILITARY WIVES BIT! I AM A MILITARY WIFE MY HUSBAND GOT OUT IN 2002 AND WAS IN SINCE 1994. I NEVER EVER CHEATED! OF COURSE I WAS A DANCER AND I HAD ALL OF THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT MY DAY! IF, YOU ARE A MOTHER GO TALK TO OTHER MOTHERS AND OR CALL FAMILY! I KNOW IT'S REALLY HARD TO NOT TO TALK TO YOUR HUBBY RIGHT NOW BUT REMEMBER HE IS THINKING OF YOU ALL THE TIME! HE WANTS TO GET HOME IN ONE PIECE SO HE CAN GET BACK TO SOME LOVING' FROM HIS SWEETHEART AND THAT IS YOU! JUST WRITE HIM LETTERS AND SPILL YOUR THOUGHTS ON PAPER! THAT IS WHAT I HAD TO DO AND WHEN YOU DO SEE HIM AGAIN THOSE THOUGHTS ARE STILL THERE FOR HIM TO READ! HE WILL THEN KNOW THAT YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT HIM ALL THE TIME AND HE WILL ANSWER ANYTHING THAT THERE WERE QUESTIONS ABOUT! REMEMBER HE IS OVER THERE FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY AND HIS REAR IS ON THE LINE EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY JUST SO HE CAN COME HOME WITH A MISSION THAT WILL HOPEFULLY BE RESOLVED SOONER THAN LATER! YOU DID NOT ASK A DUMB QUESTION AT ALL! ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS HER HUSBAND IS IN IRAQ FOR THE 4TH TIME AND HE HAS HIS OWN BATTALLION FROM FORT HOOD TX. SHE HAS 3 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND SHE WORKS FOR THE PRISON SYSTEM IN TEXAS. SHE AS WELL ASKS ME THIS SAME QUESTION! I TOLD HER THE SAME SHE IS A STRONG WOMAN. SHE USED TO BE A CAPTIAN IN THE ARMY AND WHEN SHE GOT PREGNAT THE FIRST TIME SHE GOT OUT OF THE SERVICE! WE BOTH KNEW WOMEN THAT CHEATED ON THEIR MEN DUE TOO BEING LONELY! JUST PLEASE DO NOT GET SUCKED IN THAT TRAP! IT IS VERY HARD NOT TO DUE TO YOU BEING LONELY BUT HE NEEDS SOMETHING TO COME HOME TO AND THAT IS YOU! I HOPE YOU WILL DO WELL AND YOU JUST BE AS STRONG AS YOUR HEART AND SOUL WILL LET YOU! GOD IS WATCHING AND I AM PRAYING FOR YOU AND HIM FOR HIS SAFE RETURN HOME!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!~

If my husband had to leave, I'd be crushed. We are the biggest part of eachother's day. I'd miss everything, from snuggling up next to him, to just talking to him. I feel so sorry for you, it must be hard. I couldn't imagine being seperated like that. :(

I'm assuming you have no other best friends besides your husband. Lucky for me I have some good friends give the everydayness conversations with.
If my man were going overseas, I guess I'd worry more about his safety than anything else.

I'd miss not seeing for myself what he's up to. He's a sneaky SOB.
Truly though, I'm sorry you're missing your husband. Best wishes for his safe return, and may it be soon. All my best to both of you. Hang in there.

I would just miss his presence. We are best friends and tell each other everything, the same as you. I would miss that the most.
