CRIMP MY STYLE - means don't ruin my style, yeah, don't copy my style because you have a negative or bad affect on me.

A Pimp is someone who controls a prostitute. Usually they pay the Pimp to look out for them, and the Pimp beats the ..... out of them... If they don't earn as much as the Pimp thinks they should, then the prostitute is in big trouble. The Pimp tries to get the girl hooked on drugs so he can control her. Don't crimp my style sounds like don't copy my style. I am not into this language....

ALSO, A PIMP IS A CRIMINAL AND A BAD PERSON. THERE IS NOTHING COOL ABOUT A PIMP. However, because young whites seem to follow the ghetto thing, young blacks have made pimping to be some sort of a cool thing. There is nothing cool about this.

there's a programme on one of the satellite channels called "Pimp My Ride", which is all about tuning up cars , giving a paint job , improving interior trim and sound systems , etc.
In that context "pimp" just means to smarten up and give the owner extra street cred.
