If this happens BEFORE you see the Windows startup screen, then your RAM is lose. Open the computer and reseat them.
If your computer does start up, try getting into SAFE mode. Then go into your desktop settings under SCREEN SAVER and go into Power mode, and pick ALWAYS ON. Then set each parameter to NEVER. While in SAFE mode, un AVG and Lavasoft AD-AWARE again.
If this is still getting into SLEEP mode, then get into your BIOS settings (Delete key). TURN OFF or DISABLE sleep and hibernation modes.

If you can get into it, go to system properties, advanced, startup and recovery and de-select the tick box for restart automatically.
Next time you get on,. I would do a backup and format it rather than spend ages trying to troubleshoot it though.
You could try replacing the power supply, although it is wasted money of that doesnt fix it

We need more details about the computer such as which version of windows you're running. Also the manufacturer of the PC, some have known hardware/software issues.

well.. it doesn't sound like a virus, so no need to use AVG, check the motherboard, the problem could be from there, but we do need more details.
