He is preoccupied nowadays with his wealth buying him more power. He has done nothing of any quality since Born on the Fourth of July, which I still think should have got him an Oscar. It was as they say a tour-de-force of acting.
I have read numerous links about his relationship with the "Church" of Scientology and how that has been tied in with his protecting the real nature of his sexuality. All very weird.
If the gossip mags are to be believed he split with Nicole Kidman over her rejecting scientology - and the way he dumped her was despicable.
It is a shame. He did used to seem like a nice chap. Shows how wrong we can all be.
For the record...I think Katie Holmes is really pretty and I hope she escapes with her baby (no way is it Tom's) back to normalville.

I can't stand him anymore. He's completely overrated, and he loves himself.
Plus, check this out...
"Tom Cruise has come LAST in a poll to find the celebrity people would most like to have as their best mate."
Hah!
Yet he seems totally oblivious to this new wave of dislike.
You want the truth Tom? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth!!

I really like him as an actor and I always have. I do not like him as a person - I think he is egotistical (and he's been encouraged to be this way by his fans), I also don't agree with his religious beliefs or his childish response to finding another "love" - he's had several.
I'll still watch his movies - but I don't watch his interviews.

I used to love him during his "Jerry Maguire" and "The Firm" days..so fresh-faced and all. It all went downhill, i suppose, in Vanilla Sky. Worse in The War of the Worlds!!
He's totally different now...power-hungry and his weird Scientology hold on Katie and all...

i still believe he is a great actor. it's true he has his flaws (imagine Mel Gibson then), but he is a legend, and he is able to give a life to some of his characters that nobody else could do.

Yes he has gone crazy. I think he is brain washed. He needs to leave the Scientology alone. He wasn't weird before that.

Think of him only as an actor. He was absolutely brilliant in Collateral, and not bad at all in War of the Worlds.
