It's rare, but I have and I feel like a Heaven Blessed genius when I do get through one without a hitch.
The ones at Kroger's work much more smoothly than the ones at Wally World. I NEVER get through ole Sam's without a hitch, so I just do not use them. At Kroger's I'll use it if the other lines are full and I don't have more than 3 items. I figure for the price I'm paying at Kroger's, someone can well enough just check me out. Why should I have to do it all? I am paying for the checker, and prefer to use her/him.
Only if I am in a real hurry for just an item or two do I even bother with the self-checkout. Sometimes when you figure in the hassle time, it is not any faster.

I must admit that my first encounter with Self-Checkout was a little baffling, but now I use them all the time unless I have too many items. (The Supermarket where I shop has a limit of 15 items for the Self-Checkout.) I find them efficient and, after a few bumps, uncomplicated. I can't remember the last problem that I had with one.

I always go flawlessly through self checkout. I like to watch the dumb people it confuses.

Yes, many times. I personally prefer self-checkout.

Yes, actually. I usually don't have problems with the self-checkouts, and they're a lot faster than the cashiers (especially at Wal-Mart)

Nope, never. It always seems like the price for at least one item won't come up at all and the manager has to come over and manually punch in the price. I'd much rather go thru the regular check out line!!

Yes, I have. The key is if you put all your items on the belt first then check the items through the scanner, and do not move the items once you start.

Yes, but it took man, many, attempts..Sometimes ,I wanted to bash that talking computer: Take the bread out of the cart and put it back. i would get home and have 2or 3 items, that i didn't pay for...............self-check-ots can be time consuming andvery frustrating...especially when you have to wait for the cashier to clear your screen so you can continue.

Every time....except for when I take produce without a PLU or if I take some dizzy chick with me that wants to help or leans on one of the scales or insists on "helping"

ONCE, and I've tried them many times! I hate them! Wal-Mart ones are the worst!
I want a REAL person telling me my total and bagging my stuff, not a machine!
Why were these things created anyway? They're sooo frustrating!
