For 3 days now my husband has had a head cold and all I've heard is wah, wah, wah, groan and I don't feel goooood. He never used to be like this when sick, we've been together for 20 years and its in the past 2 years he's been like this when sick. If I did this I'd be told to shut up!

All good reasons. I laugh at have i changed how I take care of him and he wants his momma. Used to be he'd just go to bed and if he needed anything I'd get it for him, still do. His mom raised 4 close in age, if u were sick go to bed. I asked him why the whining you never used to do this. He said 'cuz he didn't feel well. I asked him if he thought I was treating him better when he whined. He said no you ignore me. So he's decided that whining will get him nowhere. Straight out asking for something will get me jumping. Guys are funny.

Men are big babies...I think that they get into these mood swings and they go through stages, sometimes bigger then others but it all falls back to the baby stage. I think that they think that they are the big macho man until they get sick or hurt then they want someone to pamper them just like a baby. Mine does the same thing. Tell him to act his age or you will have to call a babysitter to watch over him. ( could you image a man going through labor?) They are all wimps at one time or another. Hope things get better at home for you. Good luck!

For some reason men regress to the age of two when they get sick. You can choose to ignore him, pamper him, or smother him with a pillow. And if he said anything negative when you get sick I'd make him very sorry the next time he got sick.

Thats the way it goes! Are you my parents? That is exactly how mine are my Mom gets sick alot cause she's a pre-school teacher and when she is sick he always says WELL SHES SICK AGAIN... if she grumbles or anything he says be quiet

But when he gets sick its a big deal...

I guess it is one of those things that glimpse into the past of men and their mothers nurturing them I don't know exactly but thats the way it is for some? Good Luck and don't be too hard on him he is afterall sick!

It relies upon on the man. i do not imagine it truly is ideal to stereotype. the purely to time I genuinely have complained a from ailment is even as i became injuried. I cracked some ribs and bruised something of my ribs. I were given a chest chilly a week after cracking and bruising my ribs. The health practitioner did not supply me any painkillers. The soreness went from uncomfortable to insufferable.

If you have a husband that tells you to SHUT UP, who cares what is wrong with him, ignore him when he whines, he'll get over it.
