All food turns to glucose in the body, but glucose is not the same as sugar. Glucose retains much of the nutritional value( vitamins and minerals you need). Sugar is a natural substance that has been striped of all it's nutritional value.

Why not a normal diet is 10% fat, 45% carbohydrate and 45% protein despite all the weird South Beach, Atkins and other diets.
