Kinda.Lot of good stuff in the 70's too. But yea, early to mid 90's there was a ton of great bands still, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains,STP,Nirvana,Candlebox, just to name a few, all bands with thier own, unique sound.Now all i hear is noise for the most part. Bands all sound the same now. Or maybe I got old? lol

No. The 80's & 90's had a few good bands/artists and a few good songs. But the best music came from the 70's and pre 70's eras.............back when people actually had to sing to get a record label and their music on the radio. Like I said though there were a few good bands out of the 80's & 90's i.e. nirvana, weezer, ......i'm sure there were a few more but they are slipping my mind right now. And there are a couple good sounds coming up.....we've really got to keep our minds and ears open for these.

I completely disagree. I was born in 1986. I think the best music came out in the mid to late sixties. The seventies were okay (minus disco) It's not even a matter of opinion on certain levels. Musically, a lot of sixties music was better. What the heck happened to harmony and melody...out the window I guess.. Today's music lacks a lot of its qualities. AND.... A lot of garbage came out of the 80's and 90's. There were a few good bands at best.

I would have to say the best music came form the late 50's to the late 80's. Im a classic rock and old heavy metal fan its the only thing ill listen too.

As much as I love the music from this time period, I think the music of the 50's was much more influential to music overall. 80's & erly 90's is WAY better than the junk we have now, though!

lol and most of the music in america in the 80's early 90's came from english bands lol :P wham, banarama, aha, sting etc.

80's music is the worst trash I have ever heard in my life. 90's music wasn't all that great either. Hair bands make me want to claw my own eyes out. And that's all I have to say about that. :)

Those were some of the best years of my life (so far), so it stands to reason that the "soundtrack" to that period of my life is more memorable. I frequented dance clubs in those days, so the music (Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242) I heard then brings back powerful memories.
