after your cartilage is pierced? i got mine pierced in april and it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it used to, but will it always have this pain up there?

it shouldnt be painful unless bumped or pulled, but you should first check the jewelry as it could be to small of a diameter (for a ring) or to tight (devil posts from claires)

Cartilage has nerves in it if you so happened to pierce that nerve yes you may experience pain for quite some time do not freak unless you get an infection.

See a doctor right as soon as you can. You may have a low grade infection in the cartilage. These are bad news. Sorry, don't mean to scare you, but it can cause some serious damage.

it shouldnt. when i got mine it hurt for a couple months but then it healed. really the only problem with gettint your cartilige done is sometimes you change the way you sleep. and if you sleep on your piercing its killer. or maybe if you talk on the phone with the same ear. try changing both of those and if that doesnt work maybe you should go to someplace like claires or something and ask them what they would do

No, after several months, the pain should lessen a little by little until it's no longer there.

PROBABLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS....KEEP IT VERY CLEAN WITH EITHER ALCHOHOL OR PEROXIDE... DONT WEAR CHEAPO EARRINGS THERE ONLY SURG STEEL OR 14 KT GOLD.....TAKES AWHILE TO COMPLETELY HEAL....HAVE ONE
