No, I believe there are American's out there that don't only drink coffee. And I think it's more of a habit thing, and not because it tastes good. Just a thought.

No. We like both. But I think that if there was a survey done that most would prefer coffee.
You can do a lot with coffee that you can't with tea, but that's not why people would prefer coffee over tea.
I prefer coffee at different times of the season.
In spring and summer I prefer tea. Mostly cold during the day and hot at night.
In the fall and winter I change up for coffee. Rarely cold, mostly hot.
Sometimes I drink tea in the morning and coffee later in the day, but only rarely.

Sorry i'm not an American. As an Indian I drink both. Also, as per my knowledge, Americans drink both tea and coffee, the younger generation drinks more coffee than tea.

I don't think that's true about all Americans. I love iced tea, but not hot. I think hot tea has a strange aftertaste. I also love coffee. I drink coffee everyday because it has more caffeine than tea. I guess it's mainly a matter of personal preference.

You need to get out more, really you do. As you can tell from the answers Americans do drink tea. If we didn't why do we have tea for sale? Don't you think all the American tea co. would go under if we didn't drink tea?

Personally I don't drink coffee, I think the only thing that might be considered as coffee that I drink is my frappacino from Starbucks.
Otherwise at ALL times in my house we have and serve tea. That's actually my fetish. Collecting beautiful teasets and using a different one every week and having a different type of tea at each sitting.
My husband doesn't drink coffee period. He doesn't care for it.
