Maybe those types of questions can be therapeutic for both the asker and the answerer. To be honest there are times when I have asked provocative questions usually because i'm pi**ed off or in a bad mood. Sometimes I like to get a little anger out with my answers if someone does ask a stupid question. Theres no harm in that.

Actually, answering idiotic questions with equally idiotic answers is kind of refreshing after answering one or two that requires you to think. Makes for a nice little break.
