I have 5 tatts and no one thinks of me any differently. ppl say they are addicting..... you are old enough to make your own decisions. As for advice... I suggest that you don't get a name on you unless its your kid's name. I would also stay away from the face area. A tat is permanent so make sure it is what you want, don't just go into a shop and pick out a pretty one. You may not like it in a few years. I usually tell ppl to wait 6 mo. If you see a pic that you like wait 6mo. do you still like it, does it still mean something to you? If so then get it.
If you see someone with a tat ask them where they got it. they will be happy to tell you. Word of mouth is a good way to find a good shop. Go in and check out the shop before you go to get a tat. Make sure that it is clean, the more like a hospital the better. Is the tat area sterile? How do they clean their instruments? Is it a smoke free building? Do they talk to you when you come in? Make sure that they let you watch them do set up, putting the ink out and putting the needle together. If you don't feel comfortable in the tiniest way DON"T get your tat there. There is a lot of info here. Hope it helps. If you have any more questions just ask.

I am 41 female, and have a lot of ink done when I was in my 20's the color has faded and my skin is not as youthful so the lines are not as clean,as I age the tats will also wrinkle,so my suggestion is not to get a tattoo,by even asking this questions you show that you are not a passionate ink-er and you will have this for the rest of your life,go with the sticker kind you get the look but not permanently scarred.

I have seen some really nice tattoos on twenty something females. My problem is twenty something females seem to have some kind of mental block that prevents them from ever imagining that they will ever be anything else. Have you ever seen a 30 year old tattoo on a FIFTY SOMETHING FEMALE? I have and it is not so nice. Trust me, if all goes well you will be that woman someday. Your choice.

Tattoo art work is a personal choice. If there is something that has special meaning for you, and you really want to "carry it" with you go ahead. I have a very very small tattoo on my earlobe, another on the top of my foot and one now on the outside of my calf. Once you get one, it's easy to want more.

Well, not only defiling your body, but how is it going to look as time goes by? I always laugh at the girls who have the "wolf prints" tattooed on the tops of their breasts because in a decade, after babies and gravity take their toll, not to mention weight gain, those wolf prints are going to lood like raccoon tracks.... loooonnnnnggggg

I am a guy and don't like women with tattoos. They do call it a tramp stamp. If you get one, get a small one.
