Well obviously we can't prevent a tsunami but we can set up sensors to detect them and warn people well in advance. Also people on the shore should be aware of the warning signs. If the tide all of a sudden goes out, get the hell to higher ground and yell for everyone to do the same. If we know its coming and what to do there is no reason why anyone should ever die from this again.

The biggest lesson: Don't waste your money on fighting something that doesn't exist like terrorism becasue you might get a problem like tsunamis and you find yourself broke.
