Secondly, haven't your parents discussed the facts of life with you? It's 9 months, or 40 weeks.

The baby's not in the mother's stomach but in her womb.
You can be pregnant for less than 9 months which is the 'normal' end of pregnancy, some babies are born before term.
If they are born very early 6 months or so they are put in special intensive care called neonatal.
