everytime I go on computer and the desktop opens and I wait for everything to load I get yahoo messenger come on at right hand of screen and have to click in box to clear it off. I,ve got the icon already on the desktop so only want to click on that if I want to go into it any suggestions please.

With Messenger open, on the top menu click on Messenger, then Preferences. In the display window, uncheck the option for Messenger to start when you startup your PC. There are also other options in the display window you may want to check out as well.

Open Yahoo Messenger,
Click Messenger
Click Preferences
Click General
Uncheck Automatically Start Messenger up top
OR
Go to Start, RUN
Type in msconfig
Click on Startup
Unclick anything pertaining to Yahoo
Dont just go unchecking everything though some are vital
some are Yahoo Messenger and ypager

Sign into messenger, click Messenger, click General, uncheck When I start up my computer.

Sign into yahoo messenger,go to messenger-preferences-then select general then uncheck automatically start messenger and automatically start launch cast.

Go to Google and type in the search term "yahoo messenger spyware" Up to you to decide. I personally hate Instant messages.

ok this is a really simple prob
jus right click onthe yahoo messenger icon and click sign out link then this prb wont occur but if it occurs then...mail me .i willlet you know
