When people express their beliefs instead of looking for information I notice they get a lot of answers telling them to get a life. If you got one answer that was really maddening, would you pick it as best answer so that you could send a comment back to that person to even the score?

That is so ridiculous. If you have a comment to make to someone you can either email them or post an "added comment" below your question. When you say,"get back at someone," that sounds like the mind set of a young child.
I read all the answers to my questions....unless... I specifically ask for no cut and paste,or for
"just the facts, maam," I will not read, long drawn-out answers that are the work of another person. If I see someone edit their answer AFTER another person, possibly the ninth person, or whatever, has posted the correct answer(many of my questions require specific answers) I do not award them BEST ANSWER. How far down the list someone answers, does not mean they are out of the running. I try to be as fair on this site, as I am everywhere else. Have a happy day.

I never do that. I read through all of my answers before choosing, and post a comment on every Best Answer I select. When people take the time to compose an honest opinion or share an episode in their life, it means they took the question seriously. Regardless of how others conduct themselves, I try to be fair on choosing the Best Answer.

I have noticed that people pick the 'first' answer, even though answer #10 or #25 might have been better. No one reads through all the answers.

I never do that, but someone did it to me once, I'd commented that I liked House MD and the asker gave me best answer just to tell me that he thought House sucked. He could have just sent me a message, so I sent him a message saying 'Thanks for the info!'

Are you joking? If you want to get back at someone call the police and report them as a kiddy fiddler.
