1 - how did superman have strength to throw new krypton into space when he still had a chunk of kypronite in him(it was taken out when he was in the hospital) and the continent was laced w/kryptonite?
2 - how did superman's kid have super strength? when he was supposedly conceived, in superman 2, supes had given up all his powers in that red krypton sun chamber thing!
3 - in the hospital, how did they remove supes' costume so fast (looks like they ripped it off), when it is made of kryptonian fabric and supposedly impenetrable?
4 - if supes was gone only 5 years, lois sure didn't wait too long to find a new man(richard white) and convince him that supes' baby was really his, or did she carry that baby more than 9 months? or did everyone know that baby wasn't richard white's?
5 - in superman the movie, it took young kal-el 3 yrs to reach earth, so, i guess he built a larger, faster space ship(w/what material?) since he made it to kryptonian space and back in only 5 yrs?

fyi, i do enjoy these movies, and i do suspend my disbelief(have to). was just wondering whether these issues were just overlooked or if there was some explanation for them~

excuse you me , do you believe a man can fly ... when you go to movies like that , you have to have a willing suspension of disbelief , you can not make sense of anything in movies like that .. so relax and chill with it

I had the same issues. Here is another one:
6. How old is Lois Lane? When Clark/Superman met her in the first movie, she was already an established reporter -- so let's say she was 25. If Superman stayed around for two or three years before taking off for Krypton and ten was gone five years, that would put Lois at 32 or 33. Kate Bosworth as 20-21 during principal shooting, and looks 16. What were the people who cast this movie thinking?

dude you put way to much into a movie instead of it just letting it be what it is, first off not in order of your questions the kid wasn't concieved in super man 2 that was a completely seperate thing, nothing to do with this one, most they ever did back in the old days was kiss, this is a new story new superman new lois new everything excpet for the fact that they made this one to honor the Reeves family which in all accounts it was just that, secondly there never showed them remove anything as far as kryptonite out of him at the hospital, he was lifting that huge rock up in to space and there was some touching his hand as I remember and I wondered as well how come but the people that write this stuff need to leave a little bit up to our imaginations, it was enough to weaken him some but he still managed to do what he needed to do, no biggie, leap of faith, it is a story which like many others requires some imagination, as far as cutting off his suit so easily the kryptonite weakend him as well as his suit maybe, which is quite possible, what other explanation could there be or would there be? it's just a movie remember that always, and no she didn't wait long I agree, he thought the child was his and for a bit we all did as well, but she really couldn't have waited more than a month if you think about it, anyways I need to not answer your last question because the main thing is is it was just a movie, like many others it requires imagination and a leap of faith

You know, you're just supposed to play your $8.50 and watch the film. You are NOT to ask questions that show the flaws in the writing or showcase the ignorance of the director.
If more people did that, the entire system would collapse.
