I shampoo my hair first and use as much of the shampoo from my head to wash my face and as much of my upper body as I can. I then use bar soap on the rest of my body. More efficient use of both soaps.
One day my ex-girlfriend and I were showering together and she commented to me that she couldn't understand how I could allow shampoo to touch my face. I pointed out to her that shampoo is the same as bar soap, just liqufied, and with lanolin and whatever added. Still gets you clean. And I showed her how my skin was softer than hers by having her touch me all over. Then I inspected the softness of her skin by touching her all over. Then...

I wash my hair first so that the conditioner can sit in my hair while I soap my body.

Must wash hair first. Then rinse thoroughly. Then condition hair. Scrub down as far as possible then scrub up as far as possible, then scrub the heck out of possible.
Then rinse conditioner out of hair.

i put the shampoo in my hair, and then clean my body whilst i'm under the shower so the shampoo is washing out at the same time
