i dont know why..but i love to smell petrol. it just gives me immense pleasure...i dont know whether its harmful or not...plz tell me.

Yes - the vapor can dissolve the mucus lining causing irritation. As the vapors dissolve the lining, there are chances of catching infection like allergy / cold.

This it the reason why inhaling beyond limits can be fatal

I do not know. I also want to know the answer. But I like to smell Petrol,Kerosene,Paint,fevicol,new notebooks........ Smelling a petrol continuously may lead to breathing difficulties,throat infection.

It does have a god smell to some people. Many do get high from it. Yes, it can cause brain damage similar to sniffing glue.
