..........every chance they get, and yet, according to all the polls, they seem to be a heartbeat away from reelecting a TOTALLY CORRUPT and ineffective “Lula” (i.e. “Mr. I came from humble beginnings and that’s why I deserve to be president”) and his “PT party” all over again!?

I am NOT a big Bush fan, but for crying out loud it isn’t exactly like the politically enlightened (lol) Brazilians with a chronic case of “U.S.A. Wannabee Complex” should be the ones casting stones at anyone here!

Pandak - I recommend you inform yourself better about the ongoing political and economic crisis in Brazil, before you make such outrageously erroneous claims! You should not let your hatred and contempt for "Bush and his gang" (justified as it may or may not be) adversely influence your good (and otherwise impartial) judgment.

like the other poster said, bashing is easy. bush makes it extremely easy, it seems... but i don't think it matters that it's actually bush. you'd probably see many of the same types of "bashing behavior" if it had been kerry or whoever else.

humans, the world over, have a tendancy to ignore their own problems and sooner indulge in complaining or bashing about other things, people, events, etc. it's just easier for the "average person", i guess, than actually confronting their own problems.

like i said, it's unfortunately that it's so prolific. it's not gonna change anytime soon, either.

Well, Lula hasn't invaded any countries, has made his country totally energy independent, and is raising the living standards of his people (not lowering them as someone we know). Besides, it's not just Brazil--Bush and his gang are held in contempt everywhere in the world, including Israel.

little fish big pond syndrome. they're just taking pot shots at the big shots and they're not the only ones.......the ones who hate us the most are the ones who owe us the most money. check the records as far back as WWI or maybe even farther.
