Gee I think I must be in the minority that really like Wayne. He has great talent and ability. Control he will learn, as he matures, at least I hope. It would be such a shame to see a career damaged. He needs to have positive people around him and experienced role models to help him learn how to use his emotions to his advantage rather than his disadvantage that so often sees him carded out.

He is his own worst enemy but to be fair to him he has been sent off a couple of times recently in doubtful circumstances. He is a wonderful footballer and is a great asset to Manchester United and England. The media do love to have a "bad boy" to have a go at and I do hope that he manages to rise above all that. If he can then he has a great future ahead of him.

From the looks of things, most certainly. Rooney isn't going to even try to change his behaviour. he's said it himself that punishment against him isn't going to make him change. So what you're looking at is the rest of his career with the same behaviour. And I don't see it being a very long one if that's the case.

i hope someone gives him a good talking to because he's on the same path as Gazza. Super player, but he may not have had enough positive support considering his lifestyle. I'd hate for that to happen to Rooney. He's still young enough to grow out of it.

i think it will not ruin his career.
he still is considered as a young player and as he grow up his attitude will definately change and he will learn to cool down.
look at david beckham as an example, he was no different from rooney when he was young and now he has become one of the most popular football player in the world.

It is good to have the aggressiveness and passion to play.
As he matures, he will have to learn to control his emotions.
Its his talent and speed that make teams want to mark him tightly so his behaviour might come from the frustration of being shackled.

If you watch the video carefully of what happened against Porto, he jumped for the ball and his arm hit him. I dont see how that constitutes a red card. He eyes were on the ball, completely.
That red card was nonsense!
I think his tenacity is part of what makes him a great player.

Only if he allows it to. If he has any sense he will look at players like Gazza and see that it is a destructive path that doesn't allow a player with real genius to reach his full potential.
