The water rotates the other way south of the equator due to gravitational pull. The blades on a helicopter do no however, b/c they do not depend on gravity, they run from an engine, which cause them to operate the same direction no matter where in the world they are.

Up is Up... No matter where you live.
Think of this. Water spins clockwise here in Australia when it goes down the drain and it spins counter clockwise in the USA (northern hemisphere)
So whose rotorblades are going the wrong way huh?? lol.

Also, downunder is Not "Downunder" ... What really happened was that someone drew the first map upside down. Remember the maps of the world were flat once.

Is what I am saying logical? ... Think of it this way ... Rock sinks in water. Which hemisphere has the most rock and the biggest rocks? ... Northern Hemisphere of course. Now the rock goes to the bottom and the water is displaced and pushed to the top.
Who has the most Water?
Southern Hemisphere has ... we are on the TOP LMAO.
Turn ya map up the right way now.

Basin water flowing clockwise or vice versa? This has been pondered in eons.
It just depends on the position of the tap against the plug hole, as you call it. A bit to the right or left and front or rear of it determines the flow.
As for motors, try switching the live and neutral, and it'll answer your queries.
