1960's were involved in politics and protested for peace. The music was pure and everyone was all family. 1970's were protesting peace from bad law enforcement and had a lot of fun. 1980's were fun as well. It was a time of discovery on who we were. We started thinking. We figured out who we were in 1990's. At that time we fell into subcultures and the style of music, as well as color of clothing, etc. defined who you were. What do you say about this decade?, and please, no mentioning of war. War was in every decade: "Vietnam", ..., "Desert Storm", ..., etc.

I would describe the 2000s as the decade of globalization. With the increasing influence of the internet, nations and peoples can no longer consider themselves to be isolated to any great extent. We are all becoming more interdependent, and with that comes a greater responsibility toward one another. If your nation experiences economic crisis it is more likely to affect my nation.

I think the 2000's are about realization. We are realizing things about our environment, about our government, and about our lives in general.
