I like his early films with Diane Keaton, and also the films he made with Mia farrow. My personal favorite is "Bananas" with Jacobo Morales as a Fidel Castro clone. He is funny in a strange way, and I have to acknowledge that his humor is not crass and vulgar, like some "funny" films that are being bombarded to us constantly.

My opinion of Woody Allen.
He comes across as a Neurotic, low esteemed, self doubting little old man with a weird sense of humour.
He tells the world that people like him do exists through his movies.
I'm sure he has a fan base consisting of similar type of characters who can relate to his movies.
People who has the opposite characteristics may find him irritating or irrational at times.

He's amazing. I suggest there should be a Woody Allen section in every rental store.
Anyone who doesn't understand or find his movies funny is dull and dim-witted. I wouldn't enjoy the company of that type of person. No humor.

He is a funny man. He has done a great bit for movies, and comedy. His personal life however..wow he is a weird man. It is his business though on that. Overall. He is a huge part of what comedy has become today.

A stinking paedophile. Humbert Humbert. How funny can a whiny wee gawk and his NYC psychiatry joke(s) be after so many years? If he stayed in my street, he'd be a DEAD MAN. NYC may have a soft spot for him, but we kill paedophiles in Glasgow. My grandfather done so in broad daylight, without considering the human rights aspects. And don't start me on his pal, Roman Polanski!

Yes, sadly his personal life and the choices he has made have definitely tainted his image.

woody allen? BORING!!!!!!! he's NOT funny, he's NOT brilliant, he's NOT even entertaining...he's dull as dirt, and annoying to boot! his movies are one-dimensional, he's the only person i've ever heard of who's made a career of typecasting himself!

I never thought he was that funny. And since he got married to his stepdaughter... my opinion of him is even lower than it was before... and that was pretty low to begin with.
