It's a privately-owned firm, with directors and shareholders isnit! So how come the Monarchy imagery is still used, isn't that deception (banned in marketing and ads)?

Once upon a time the post office was a crown agency,it is no longer the royal mail, tradition is the reason for using the queen's head on stamps,everything about the post is rubbish,they are an inept,top heavy organisation which cannot do the thing it is supposed to do,i.e. deliver mail in an efficient manner,roll on private competion

Well, England is a monarchy, and the name is Royal Mail. Privately-held is not relevant here.

It wasn't always privately owned. It was a national institution carrying the mail on behalf of the state for its citizens. The monarch is meant to represent the State hence their faces on everything. One could say the same about our money...

They have special permission to use the name Royal Mail, because of the historic link. If she wants to be associated with an organisation, I'd like to see lawyers try to stop her.

Wrong, it isn't exactly privately owned.

It's what's called a "crown corporation".

It's a company rather than a gov't office, but nonetheless, it isn't a private company.
