Making out means they were embraced in kissing

Going out means they were walking and going places

Making out is tonging them & going out is going to a movie.

Going out is going out on a date or a movie or something...
And making out means smooching..

making out sounds like kissing and hugging..
going out sounds like they r going out in public together, u know like holding hands, laughing, eating...
