Tuition for studying is expensive, but there are government grants and bursaries at post-secondary schools you can apply for to help pay for your education.

Beers are pretty reasonably priced, but I haven't been to a bar in over ten years so I don't know how much they are in a bar now.

The best and worst cities depend on the person living in them. I live in Eastern Ontario and I do not like it all. It's crowded, smoggy, and not very pretty. But there are some people who love it here.

The east coast or The Maritimes (Newfoundland and Labrador and places like that) is beautiful, but there isn't much for work.

Quebec is all French, but don't let that deter. The people are wonderful, the scenery there is amazing, and it's a very cultured and diverse area.

Ontario is okay. Plenty of job opportunities, although not in all cities and not in all areas of expertise. Some parts of Ontario are beautiful, like Northwestern Ontario - but there are very few jobs up that way. Other parts have pockets of beauty but are generally overcrowded and polluted. The further east you go in Ontario, the higher the population of French. The further south you go, the hotter it is in the summer. And I mean hot. Blech!

Manitoba is nice. The western part is the start of The Prairies. The largest city is Winnipeg. The winters are very very cold.

Alberta and Saskatchewan are the prairie provinces. It's all very flat, lots of farmland. They it's the only place where you can watch your dog running away for 2 days straight. There is an economic boom right now in Alberta with the oil sands project and stuff. Very easy to find a job. But the cost of living is pretty high. In western Alberta you get into the foothills just before the Rocky Mountains. It's beautiful country.

Past the mountains is British Columbia and I haven't been to an area of BC I didn't like. The weather is awesome year round, very little snow in the winter (except up north and in the mountains they get tons). The job situation is okay. The best post-secondary schools in Canada are in BC and Ontario.

In BC you're right beside the Pacific ocean. But the cost of living is unbelievably high, and it's only going to go higher with the 2010 Winter Olympics around the corner. I have family in BC and I always enjoy going to visit them.

Canada has two official languages: English and French, but you won't find much for French in BC. Lots of Asians and Indo-Canadians. I have a friend that works at a recycling company. She is Caucasian but has to sometimes speak Punjabi to the customers. She really enjoys her job because of the culture it has introduced her to.

When you go to north country - the Territories, Yukon, etc, there really isn't much for work unless you've got a very specialized expertise in demand in those ares. The cost of living is extremely high, but you can sometimes get perks like hazard or isolation pay. The winters are brutally cold, but you get used to it. There isn't much for luxuries unless you're pretty wealthy.

Where to go? Anywhere you want, friend. Canada is a pretty big place.

What to eat? Wow! What not to eat? Every region has its own indigenous cuisine, plus types of food from the homelands where immigrants came from. Where I live, I enjoy going to a Cambodian restaurant downtown. But some standard Canadian dishes I guess would be like burgers, fries, sandwiches, things like that. You can pretty much eat anything you want here, we've got it all.

Canadian people, for the most part, are awesome! Yes, there are racists and bigots here, but you can find those kinds of people anywhere. In general we welcome other ethnicities from other parts of the world because it further enriches our own culture. I love Canada and I don't know if I could ever leave!

Here is a link to the Government of Canada official website, and there following links are for each province/territory. Good luck, bonne chance, and you're welcome friend!

well the weather here in Montreal is exactly like the weather in new york city, the restaurants here are excellent something for every budget, and taste as far as attitude towards other races i honestly have never encountered or witnessed one instance of racial prejudice Montreal is super tolerant towards gays as well.Montreal Canada moreover has great schools and depending on where you are from your parents may get a tax break for studying over by here, the beer in Canada is awesome the bars are fun and affordable and if you re a guy there is a strip club on every corner Montreal is the home of the prettiest dancers this side of Vegas all in all Montreal is great the only problem is housing is expensive in the down town quarter so you re best bet would probably be to get a few room mates good luck on you post secondary studies!!!!!
