Back 400 years ago people flew for the first time in a "lighter than air" That is the key hot air is lighter thus rises. Bag up all that hot air tie ropes onto the envelope of hot air attach a large wicker basket with propane cyls. and burner to heat more air. And up up and away at the whims of air current. Most Balloons go up when the wind currents are the lightest also really hot days are not good to fly in.
