tightening sensation around the front could this be the start of contractions? I am 38 weeks and 2 days. Also it constantly feels like my vaginal area is soaking wet.

if you feel wet you need to get the the hospital, if your water has broke you need to deliver within 24 hours of when it happened to avoid risk of infection to the baby. you are technically full term so there is nothing to worry about.

Sounds like you're ready. You should start timing your contractions and call your Dr. especially if you think that your water may be leaking. This happened with my 2nd and my Dr. told me to go to the hosp. They are able to do a test to see if it is really your fluid. If it is they can induce you. This is what happened to me. If you're very wet, it sounds like your water has broken. It can be just a trickle, or it can be gushes of fluid. Either way, I think it's time to call the doctor to check in. He may tell you to pack your bags, because the time is here!

Sounds like you could be in early labour. Good luck. If you are 'leaking' give your midwife or delivery suit a ring. As if you are leaking your waters there is a higher chance on getting an infection.

call you doc tell him or her what is going get and bath and meet him or her at the hosptail or doc office. your staring labor if you dont get checked you could have the kid at home or on the way to the hosptail.my mom waited ween she got to the hospail with my sister they couldnt even get her to the baby floor she had the baby in the er. my sister head was on the way out.
go get checked.
