A checking account is required for identity verification in order to sell on eBay. You only have to have a credit card if all you are going to do is purchase.

My daughters use ebay quite a lot and they've never done anything but mail the required amount first, then receive the product. No credit card, no checking account.

You can use either. You have to verify the amount they deposited into your account before being a seller. Good luck with your business! I did quiet well on Ebay!☺

They will require a checking account and then they deposit a small amount of change and you verify the account by telling them how much the deposit was.

They ask for both but you can use a dedit card linked to your checking account in place of a creditcard.If you have a paypal account it easier to set up.

i think you just need one or the other not both (they need it to take money out of your account for seller fees when you sell stuff), but it has been awhile since i signed up. just sign up and see what it makes you give them
